Congratulations to this year's Indigenous Teacher of the Year (TOY) and Pioneer of the Year (POY)! Joey Leon Guerrero was selected for the prestigious 2016 TOY and Joey Franquez was selected for the distinguished 2016 POY. Leon Guerrero and Franquez both serve as Chamorro teachers for the Guam Department of Education. They were also instrumental in chairing various activities for this year’s 35th Annual International PIBBA Conference. In addition, Franquez composed the music to the PIBBA Song lyrics written by Peter R. Onedera, former PIBBA International President.
