PIBBA Meeting - May 25

The next general membership meeting is on May 25, 2024 from 1-2:30 @ the Barrigada Community Center. Nominations and elections will be held.  Let President Rosa know beforehand if you would be interested and willing to be nominated.

Please private message or email President Rosa by May 18, 2024, if you are interested in being a PIBBA officer.   Note the following requirements: 

1) Must be a paid member (payments can be made at our meeting on May 25th), and 

2) Must be an active member and have been active for the previous two years.


"Active" is defined as having attended at least 75% of the meetings and involved in activities (ex: fundraising, workshops).

Guam Delegation at the 53rd NABE Conference

The Guam Delegation takes a pose at the Hilton Riverside, New Orleans, Louisiana during the 53rd Annual National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) Conference.  The theme of the conference is Celebrating Heritage Language and Its Role in Promoting Multilingualism, Multiliteracy, and Multiculturalism!  The conference was held March 26-30, 2024.  Pictured L-R:  Karen Alvia, Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera,  NABE President Evelyn De Jesus, Bert Yamasta, Elmer Alves, and Barbara Tainatongo.
